Winter Activities

The Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department maintains two locations for Cross Country Skiing and three ice skating locations that we create and maintain ice.  This page will provide you with facility information and conditions of those facilities and trails.

Cross Country Ski Trails

Current Status: 2/13  -  3 inches of new snow, trails are in great shape,  get out and ski!!!!

Please be patient with us as we take care of our Town snow plowing responsibilities before turning out attention to the trails.

Golf Course -  Good-  golf course is in great shape, please stay off of the tee boxes and green. 

Trails -  Good-  With the great base and the addition of 3 inches will make the trials in great shape until the warm temps come next week.

Current Status: 2/13 -   3 inches of new snow, all trails are in great shape and skiable.   The snow may compact down, especially on backcountry trails,  use caution if going on a trail for the first time.

Trails-  Good-  Trails are in good shape with powder snow on top of a great base,  all trails including the backcountry trails will be great to skiing.

Ice Skating Facilities

Lower Mall Rink

Current Status: OPEN

Hours- Dawn to 10 p.m.

2/11  Rink is open, we will be cleaning the snow off today, and working on ice as the weather allows,  on warm temp days coming up, we will hold off adding water to the rink to reduce it from being soft and just clean of the existing ice.

Lishness Hockey Rink

Current Status: OPEN

Hours- Dawn to 10 p.m.

2/11    Rink is in good shape, we will continue to make ice as the temps allow, on warm days we will hold off on adding water to make ice to prevent it from being soft, on those days, we will just clean off the existing ice.

Coffin Pond Rink

Current Status: OPEN

Hours- Dawn to 10 p.m.

2/11  Rink is open, great weather for skating,  we will continue to make ice as the temps allow, on the days the temps are to warm, we will just clean the existing surface off to keep the ice we have.
